On 23 June 2026, class 8b went to IHK for a Project Day on Independent Entrepreneurship with a Polish class. After arrival, we were told about what IHK is. Later, the Polish class arrived, as well. One of the employees at IHK, named Dorothea Möckel, made two groups. Group One and Group Two. Both consisted of Polish and German students. The two groups were sent into two different rooms. Group Two played a ball toss game where the Polish and German students introduced each other’s names. Afterwards, we played a game called “This or That,” where at the end of the game each student had to pair up with another student, preferably forming a German Polish duo, for future games and activities. We could choose whether we wanted to play bingo or to participate in an escape room. At the end, Group One and Group Two switched rooms. In the room, we listened to a company manager’s experiences and how he had gotten this far. We also had interactive conversations about what the students wanted to be and where they saw themselves in the future. The students had to partner with the students they had been paired with in the previous room, where they would invent their own business ideas and innovations. Some examples were: a bakery for people with allergies, a GPS system for people in wheelchairs, and a city with colorful and artistic buildings. Afterwards, the two groups came together in one room, and all the student pairs had to present their business ideas and explain the purpose behind them.
